A dog is man's best friend, and at Hals Strand Camping, we love dogs, and dogs love camping.
About 2 km south of the campsite is the large dog forest "Trekantskoven," where dogs can roam freely without a leash.
The forest is rich in life with various plants and animals, both big and small. If you look along the forest floor, you will find many different mushrooms, such as chanterelles and boletes. Additionally, there's plenty of opportunity to pick berries like blueberries and lingonberries.
The beach is a wonderful playground for both two- and four-legged friends. We are located directly by the beach, and here the dogs can swim. You can throw all the sticks into the water you can find—dogs absolutely love this game. On the beaches in Hou and Hals, dogs are welcome, and they can be off-leash from October 1st to March 31st. Outside of this period, your dog must be on a leash while on the beach.
Remember, you must have full control over your dog if you let it run off-leash in the dog forest or on the beach.
On the campsite itself, dogs must be kept on a leash.
Bring your dog camping, and they will love you for it.
